The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) is seeking an experienced mental health professional for a part time counseling position in its outpatient mental health and counseling services.<\/p>\n

Position:
\nCounselor for Staff and Employees
\nHR Management Section<\/p>\n

Working Location:
\nOnna-son, Okinawa, Japan<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:
\nThe successful applicant will provide assessment and evidence based therapy\/counseling in English for\u00a0OIST\u00a0graduate students, staff and their families presenting with a wide range of clinical issues; and contribute to the development of student and staff support networks and mental health workshops.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:
\nApplicants must have a minimum of a Masters degree in clinical or counseling psychology, psychiatric social work, or a closely related field and be members in good standing with their professional bodies. It is expected that applicants will have at least 5 years\u2019 experience working as counselors within the field of mental health.<\/p>\n

Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience working with multicultural populations and\/or university populations.<\/p>\n

Term:
\nPart\u2010time employment, 2 days per week, 8hrs on average per week<\/p>\n

Compensation:
\nIn accordance with the\u00a0OIST\u00a0Employee Compensation Regulation<\/p>\n
