Japanese Telecounseling Association (JTA) is looking for a counselor who will be able to provide counseling via email and/or Skype for English-speaking clients residing in Japan.

This position will be temporarily available while a current JTA counselor is on her maternity leave from August 1 to early January, 2014.

An applicant must be fluent in English and Japanese and needs to be a certified or licensed clinical psychologist, counselor, or hold an equivalent credential. Clinical experience in English is strongly preferred.

Upon acceptance to the position, the prospective counselor will be required to become a regular member of JTA as part of the contract.

The pay for Skype counseling is 4,000 yen per 40 minutes session and for email counseling is 2,000 yen per counselor-client exchange.
